Questions

Before we begin.

The assessment, the work and what to expect.

What is the difference between advisory and implementation?

Advisory helps your team choose priorities, evaluate options, plan a pilot and review progress. Your team carries out the work. Implementation means we build or connect the tools and workflows. An engagement can include both, with each part clearly scoped and priced.

What happens after a workshop?

Your team receives reusable examples and a short list of applications to consider. You can use them independently or arrange a follow-up to choose an opportunity and plan a pilot. Advisory, an assessment and implementation are optional next steps.

What is included in ongoing advisory or support?

It depends on what you need. Each proposal spells out what is included, and anything beyond it is priced before it starts.

Do we have to start with an assessment?

No. You can begin with a one-hour or three-hour workshop to bring your team up to speed and explore practical uses for AI. An assessment or consulting project can follow if it would help. You can also come to us with a defined project and scope it directly.

What does it cost?

The introductory conversation is free. Assessments start at $500 USD. The price depends on the scope required or desired, with a fixed quote agreed before work begins. Advisory, implementation, workshops, website work and support are priced individually. You receive a written proposal describing the work, expected outputs and price before paid work begins.

What does the company assessment include?

A focused review addresses a specific question or workflow and provides written recommendations. A broader company assessment includes leadership and staff conversations, walkthroughs, systems and selected records, leading to a current-state snapshot and prioritized roadmap. The scope and deliverables are confirmed before paid work begins.

Do we have to hire you to implement the roadmap?

No. The assessment is a standalone paid service. You keep the findings and recommendations, including any snapshot and roadmap, whether or not we carry out the next steps.

How long does an assessment or project take?

It depends on the scope, the systems involved and the availability of your team. The proposal identifies the schedule, the information needed and the decisions that could affect progress.

How much of our team’s time is needed?

We agree who needs to participate and when. An assessment may involve a sponsor, the people doing the selected work and someone who can authorize access to the relevant systems.

How do you access our files and systems?

We start with walkthroughs and selected examples. If further access is needed, we agree which people, folders, projects or systems are involved and what permissions are appropriate. We also agree which services may process the information and how copies and engagement records are handled afterward.

Do we need new software or AI accounts?

Not necessarily. We assess the options against the work, the information involved and your requirements. Existing tools, new tools or Studio Leland’s own accounts may be the right fit, and we settle that with you before working with your information.

Who does the work?

Our team members have years of experience in construction and AI development. Before the engagement begins, we identify the people responsible for the assessment, implementation and any ongoing support. Bryon Stafford founded Studio Leland and brings his construction experience to the company’s approach. For larger custom AI builds, we bring in established AI engineering firms, so the project gets the engineering depth it needs while we keep it grounded in how construction works.

Do you evaluate and build websites?

Yes. We evaluate existing websites, improve them for visitors and AI-assisted search, and build new websites. The scope can include content, design, usability, search access, inquiry paths and measurement.

Can you guarantee that AI search will recommend our company?

No. We can improve the information, technical access and overall experience of your website and measure the results. Search engines and AI services determine which sources they include.

What if we have already tried AI?

We examine what you tried, who used it and where it became difficult. The answer may be training, a process change, better use of an existing tool or a different solution.

Do you bid jobs or manage construction projects?

No. Our work is consulting, training and building tools and systems. Your company remains responsible for construction decisions, bids and project delivery.

Where do you work?

We are based in San Diego. We meet in person in San Diego County and work remotely with construction companies elsewhere in the United States.
