Company assessment
Know where you are.
Decide where to go.
A paid review sized to what you need, from a focused question to a broader evaluation of your company’s operations, systems and use of information. The scope determines the depth of the snapshot and recommendations.
You can start with an assessment or come to it after a workshop. Neither is a prerequisite for a separately scoped project.
Before the paid work
A short introduction helps us scope the review.
We begin with a brief description of your company and the question you want to address. An introductory conversation helps us agree whether a focused review or a broader assessment would be useful.
This initial information helps us prepare. The paid assessment is the investigation itself: examining relevant examples, checking the information and developing recommendations. We identify what has been verified and what still needs an answer.
Assessment pricing
Assessments start at $500 USD
A fixed fee, agreed before work begins.
A focused review of a specific question or workflow starts at $500. Pricing increases with the scope required or desired, including the number of people, workflows and systems involved.
A focused review includes a discussion of your question, examination of selected information and written recommendations. We agree the material to review, the time involved and any follow-up before work begins. A broader company assessment can include staff interviews, system walkthroughs, a current-state snapshot and a prioritized roadmap. This more extensive work is quoted separately.
Implementation, workshops, website services, subscriptions and ongoing support are priced separately. The introductory conversation is free.
Discuss your assessment →For a broader company assessment · The snapshot
A clear view of today.
We look at the people, responsibilities, workflows and systems within the agreed scope. We document strengths as well as constraints, and distinguish what we observed from what still needs investigation.
- How work and information move between people.
- Where time, rework or delays affect the business.
- Which systems and existing capabilities support the work.
- What the company is ready to change.
The roadmap
Priorities you can act on.
A sequence of improvements grounded in the findings. Some may involve AI; others may be training, a process change or better use of software.
- What to address first, later or not yet.
- Expected value, effort and important assumptions.
- Dependencies and the people responsible.
- The starting point, how to measure improvement and when to review it.
How a broader assessment works
We look at how the work actually gets done.
Set the scope
Agree the business questions, areas to examine, participants, access and fee.
Listen and observe
Meet leadership and staff, then walk through real tasks and the handoffs between them.
Examine the evidence
Follow selected cases through the relevant files and systems, including exceptions and work that needed correction.
Validate and recommend
Check the findings with your team and present the snapshot, priorities and roadmap.
Access and scope
The information needed.
The access agreed.
We can begin with screen shares and selected examples. Where further access is needed, we agree which files or systems, who can use them and whether AI processing is appropriate.
The depth of the assessment depends on the company and the agreed scope. A department review and a company-wide evaluation are different engagements.
You keep the agreed findings and recommendations, including any snapshot and roadmap, whether or not you choose Studio Leland for implementation. We provide a written scope and price before paid work starts.
After the assessment
Choose how to move the work forward.
Your team can use the recommendations independently. We can also provide advisory to help you act on them, a workshop to build the team’s skills, or implementation for a defined solution. Each is a separate choice.
